The Ventamatic solar gable attic ventilator works as advertised. It is inexpensive, easy to install if you have a standard gable and can access it from inside the roof. There is a question regarding the quality and durability of the fan. The fan housing mount looks flimsy and was a bit out of round when I received it, but it works. The fan is quiet at regular speed in full sunlight, but vibrates with a low whine on acceleration and deceleration as the sun comes and goes behind clouds. One solar panel was adequate for my attic, and it is convenient and easy to add a second if you need more air volume moved.
