For 45 day recording on provided 2GB SD memory card, you need to set it to it's worst mode, meaning resolution 320x240, 1 fps (frame per second), LOW quality. With same resolution/fps and at HIGH quality it goes down to 17.2 days.
Here are different available modes:
Quality: Low, Med, or High(best)
Resolution: 320x240 at 1 to 30 fps or 640x480 at 1 to 12 fps
If you record in best mode, or 640x480 and 12fps and HIGH quality, that's 4x more pixels and 12x more frames. So, instead of 17.2 days, you get about 17/4/12, or about 0.354 days (8.5 hours).
Something to keep in mind, since you're probably going to want to upgrade to a larger SD memory card if you want to record in better quality. 32GB card will give you 8.5x16 or 136 hours (5.7 days) in best mode.
If you use is as nanny cam for example, you'll want to capture some motion to see how nanny is handling your baby, so you'll need 6 fps and medium quality or better. Also, you'll need to use 640x480 resolution if you're capturing a larger room/space, otherwise you won't see enough detail on subjects that are too far from the camera.
